I finally started to put the whole organisational part in motion before going to GUADEC, and now I'm finally starting to publicise the course! I'm going to teach again my Python course, for adults this time, for people with no programming background. The course will start on August 23rd and last 5 weeks. More information about it on Tog's website!
Any question or query, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I wonder how teaching adults will differ from teaching teenagers... That should be very interesting (and scary, of course! :))
Hi, I'm interested in learning Python and wondered if there were any plans to run the Python course for beginners or the crash course (as I have some previous programming experience) in 2011.
thanks,

Hi and thanks for the interest! I'm currently preparing another "for beginners" course due to start in a week or so -- it's full unfortunately.
If you already know how to program in another language, it probably wouldn't be the most interesting course for you anyway. I'm still keen on running Python crash courses and I hope to start working on defining the format and content after my next course -- so end of February for a first run in March or April... Nothing done or confirmed yet though, so if you're in a rush you may have to look for other resources, sorry :(
If you'd like to know when the course's available, your best bet is to follow www.tog.ie (or this blog I guess :)) #2. Posted by jpichon (Website) on Fri 07 Jan 2011, 19:13
Another 2-3 people looking for a python course.

FYI, RTO I replied to you by email a few days back. #4. Posted by jpichon (Website) on Fri 18 Mar 2011, 22:06
Hi there,
Any plans to run the Python course in 2012?

Hi John, thank you for your interest! There should be another course during the summer. Watch this space, or better, the tog.ie website from June onwards to hear about it :)
Note that this is an introduction to programming, rather than an introduction to Python. If you already know how to program in another language, I'm afraid you won't get much out of it. #6. Posted by jpichon (Website) on Wed 25 Apr 2012, 22:14
